As a GL Accountant you will be part of our global Finance team in Suitsupply’s HQ in Amsterdam. Together with the GL team your responsibilities include GL accounting for all Revenue, Cost of Goods Sold, and Payroll flows of Suitsupply. Furthermore, you perform day-to-day work and the month end closing in an accurate and timely manner. You know how to structure and prioritize your work according to deadlines. Besides the daily routines, there is a strong focus on improving processes. We are looking for a self starter who is detailed, but can also take a step back to understand overall figures and processes. Your typical day includes:
- Settlement of all cash receipts with sales (100+ stores)
- Communication with stores in case of cash discrepancies
- Preparation and posting Payroll journal entries
- Perform month-end closing activities including preparation of journal entries and analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Prepare and record monthly accruals
- Reconciling multiple clearing accounts with proper specifications
- Optimizing existing (business and/or accounting) processes
- Dealing with (accounting) process queries from the business
- Ad-hoc projects

This job might be for you if you have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in General Ledger accounting and/or Financial control
- 3-5 years of working experience in a similar position
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong communication skills and personality
- Naturally curious, team player, hands-on, responsible, ownership
- Fluent Dutch and English language skills (oral and written)
