As a Senior HR Officer at Suitsupply’s global headquarters in Amsterdam, you’ll play a key role in managing and optimizing HR operations. You’ll serve as a trusted partner to the HR Business Partners, ensuring compliance, consistency, and operational excellence throughout the employee lifecycle. With a proactive and solution-driven approach, you’ll contribute to complex HR matters and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic, international retail environment.
What You’ll Do:
  • Oversee day-to-day global HR operations ensuring compliance with local labor laws and internal policies

  • Manage key employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, contract changes, terminations, and payroll coordination

  • Draft and review employment documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance

  • Provide first-line support to HR Business Partners in handling sensitive and complex employee relations cases (e.g., investigations, disciplinaries, and dismissals)

  • Partner with Store Managers to advise on HR policies, labor regulations, and local requirements (e.g., visas, working hours, sick leave documentation)

  • Lead efforts to improve and standardize HR processes, templates, SOPs, and compliance checklists across regions

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HRIS records and ensure documentation meets audit standards

  • Monitor and manage absence reporting and leave administration, including long-term sick leave, parental leave, and holiday tracking

  • Mentor and guide junior HR team members as needed

Who You Are:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR operations, preferably within a fast-paced, multi-location retail or international environment

  • In-depth knowledge of global labor law and HR practices

  • Proficient in Excel and experienced with HR systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, AFAS)

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential matters with discretion

  • Proactive, solution-driven, and capable of working independently
