Senior HR Officer
As a Senior HR Officer at Suitsupply’s global headquarters in Amsterdam, you’ll play a key role in managing and optimizing HR operations. You’ll serve as a trusted partner to the HR Business Partners, ensuring compliance, consistency, and operational excellence throughout the employee lifecycle. With a proactive and solution-driven approach, you’ll contribute to complex HR matters and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic, international retail environment.
What You’ll Do:
Oversee day-to-day global HR operations ensuring compliance with local labor laws and internal policies
Manage key employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, contract changes, terminations, and payroll coordination
Draft and review employment documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Provide first-line support to HR Business Partners in handling sensitive and complex employee relations cases (e.g., investigations, disciplinaries, and dismissals)
Partner with Store Managers to advise on HR policies, labor regulations, and local requirements (e.g., visas, working hours, sick leave documentation)
Lead efforts to improve and standardize HR processes, templates, SOPs, and compliance checklists across regions
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HRIS records and ensure documentation meets audit standards
Monitor and manage absence reporting and leave administration, including long-term sick leave, parental leave, and holiday tracking
Mentor and guide junior HR team members as needed
Who You Are:
Minimum 5 years of experience in HR operations, preferably within a fast-paced, multi-location retail or international environment
In-depth knowledge of global labor law and HR practices
Proficient in Excel and experienced with HR systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, AFAS)
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential matters with discretion
Proactive, solution-driven, and capable of working independently
