Senior Quality Control Manager

Senior Quality Control Manager
As a Senior QC Manager, you are Suitsupply’s senior quality lead across a network of production sites, responsible for the consistency and integrity of every garment before it leaves the factory. You will manage a team of factory-embedded QC Inspectors, drive rigorous inspection standards, and act as the primary bridge between the factory floor and Suitsupply’s central quality function. Regular factory visits are a core part of this role — this is a hands-on, field-present leadership position that combines people management, data analysis, and supplier development to directly influence the quality of Suitsupply’s global product.
What you will do
Lead and develop a team of QC Inspectors embedded across assigned factories.
Oversee Stage 5 (FRI) inspection quality across all assigned factories, ensuring AQL compliance and consistent application of Suitsupply inspection criteria.
Review and validate inspection reports and Stage 7 defect data submitted by inspectors.
Monitor factory scorecards and identify quality trends, systemic issues, and risk patterns across the region.
Escalate critical quality issues to the Head of Quality and coordinate cross-functional responses.
Conduct regular factory visits to audit inspection quality and support inspector development — travel is a central part of this role.
Lead Stage 4 (in-line) reporting oversight, ensuring early risk identification is acted upon.
Partner with Sourcing and Product teams on new factory onboarding and capability assessment.
Drive Phase 2 factory capability development initiatives across assigned factories.
Maintain strong relationships with factory QC and production management teams.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of inspection standards, tools, and processes.
Who you are
5+ years of experience in garment quality management, ideally within menswear, tailoring, or shirts.
Proven experience managing a team of quality inspectors across multiple production sites.
Deep knowledge of garment construction, AQL inspection standards, and defect classification.
Strong ability to read and interpret tech packs, grading specs, and workmanship standards.
Knowledge of PLM systems, including tech pack workflows.
Experience working directly with garment factories across international sourcing regions.
Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages relevant to the factory region is a strong advantage.
Analytical mindset with experience using quality data to drive factory improvement.
Leads by example with a high, consistent standard for quality and workmanship.
Objective and decisive — holds the line on quality independently of factory and commercial pressure.
Strong people manager who can develop inspector capability across remote, multi-site teams.
Clear communicator who translates factory-floor detail into management-level insight.
Data-driven, using scorecard trends and defect analysis to prioritize actions.
Disciplined and accountable, comfortable managing autonomously across a complex, high-volume manufacturing region.
Willing to relocate and travel regularly to factory locations.
